Kettle Corn

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add the vegetable oil and popcorn kernels, stirring until all of the kernels are coated in oil.
  3. Place a lid on the pot and wait for the kernels to start popping.
  4. As the kernels start popping, gently shake the pot back and forth over the heat to prevent burning.
  5. Once the popping slows down, remove the pot from heat and let it sit for 30 seconds to ensure all of the kernels have popped.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and salt.
  7. While the popcorn is still hot, sprinkle the sugar and salt mixture over the top and stir until well coated.
  8. Let the kettle corn cool for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Enjoy your homemade kettle corn!
