Kettle Corn
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Heat a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add the vegetable oil and popcorn kernels, stirring until all of the kernels are coated in oil.
- Place a lid on the pot and wait for the kernels to start popping.
- As the kernels start popping, gently shake the pot back and forth over the heat to prevent burning.
- Once the popping slows down, remove the pot from heat and let it sit for 30 seconds to ensure all of the kernels have popped.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and salt.
- While the popcorn is still hot, sprinkle the sugar and salt mixture over the top and stir until well coated.
- Let the kettle corn cool for a few minutes before serving.
