Juicy Lucy Burger
Ingredients:
- 1lb ground beef
- 4 slices of cheese (such as cheddar or American)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Optional toppings: tomato slices, lettuce, onions, condiments
Instructions:
- Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and form into thin patties.
- Place a slice of cheese on 4 of the patties.
- Top each cheese-covered patty with another patty and press around the edges to seal.
- Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
- Heat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- If using a skillet, cover with a lid for the last couple of minutes of cooking to help melt the cheese.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a separate skillet.
- Place each patty on a bun and add desired toppings.
