Japanese Fried Rice
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Stir in frozen peas and carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cooked rice and green onions to the skillet and stir to combine.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the rice mixture and stir well to combine.
- Make a well in the center of the skillet and pour in the beaten eggs.
- Stir the eggs into the rice mixture until they are fully cooked.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
