Italian Bruschetta

  1. Preheat the oven to 400˚F (200˚C). Slice the Italian bread into 1-inch thick slices and place them on a baking sheet.
  2. Brush each slice of bread with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic slices.
  3. Bake for 5 minutes or until bread is lightly toasted.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, red onion, and fresh basil. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Remove the bread from the oven and top each slice with the tomato mixture.
  6. Return the bruschetta to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Italian Bruschetta!
