Halva

  1. In a medium-sized pot, melt the ghee or butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the semolina and stir continuously for 5-6 minutes until it turns golden brown.
  3. In a separate pot, mix the sugar, water, and cardamom powder and heat until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Slowly pour the sugar mixture into the pot with the semolina, stirring constantly to avoid clumps.
  5. Add the chopped nuts and continue stirring until the halva thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pot.
  6. Remove from heat and pour into a greased pan. Use a spatula to smooth out the surface.
  7. Let it cool for 15-20 minutes, then cut into squares or diamond shapes. Serve and enjoy!
