  1. In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the sliced meat to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a separate pan, sauté the onions until they are caramelized.
  4. Remove the meat from the marinade and grill it for about 3-5 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
  5. Warm the pita bread in a toaster or on the grill for about 1 minute.
  6. Assemble the gyros by placing the grilled meat, sautéed onions, and sliced tomatoes on top of the pita bread.
  7. Drizzle tzatziki sauce over the meat and vegetables.
  8. Wrap the pita bread around the fillings and secure with toothpicks.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy your homemade gyros!
