Gator Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground alligator meat
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup diced celery
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground alligator meat, onion, bell pepper, celery, garlic, Cajun seasoning, breadcrumbs, and beaten egg. Mix well.
- Shape mixture into bite-size balls and roll in flour to coat.
- In a deep skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry gator bites in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot as a tasty appetizer or part of a main course.
