Fudge Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, heavy cream, and cocoa powder over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Attach a candy thermometer to the side of the saucepan and continue to cook until the mixture reaches 238°F (soft ball stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Let the mixture cool for 5-10 minutes without stirring. This will allow it to thicken.
- Once cooled, beat the mixture with a wooden spoon or mixer until it becomes thick and creamy.
- Pour the fudge into a greased 8x8 inch pan and let it cool for 1-2 hours at room temperature.
- Once cooled and set, cut into small squares and enjoy!
