Fried Snapper
Ingredients:
- 1 whole snapper, scaled and gutted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In another shallow dish, beat together the egg and milk.
- In a third shallow dish, place the bread crumbs.
- Rinse the snapper and pat dry with paper towels. Dip the snapper into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the bread crumbs, pressing the crumbs onto the fish to coat.
- In a large skillet, heat enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan over medium-high heat. Carefully place the coated fish into the hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the snapper from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
