Fried Plantains

  1. Peel the plantains and cut them into thick slices.
  2. In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced plantains to the pan and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.
  4. Using a slotted spatula, remove the fried plantains from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  5. Sprinkle salt over the fried plantains while they are still hot.
  6. Serve immediately as a side dish or snack.
