Fondue

Instructions:

  1. Grate the Gruyere and Emmental cheese and set aside.
  2. Cut the clove of garlic in half and rub it on the inside of a fondue pot or a heavy saucepan.
  3. Pour the white wine and lemon juice in the pot and heat over medium heat until it simmers.
  4. Add handfuls of the grated cheese to the pot, stirring until melted before adding more.
  5. Dissolve the cornstarch in a small amount of cold water and add it to the melted cheese mixture to thicken it.
  6. Transfer the pot to a fondue burner or leave it on low heat.
  7. Using skewers, dip the bread cubes into the fondue, stirring occasionally to prevent the cheese from hardening at the bottom.
  8. Enjoy your cheesy, gooey fondue with friends and family!
