Florida Seafood Boil
Ingredients:
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb clams, scrubbed
- 1 lb mussels, scrubbed and debearded
- 1 lb crab legs
- 6 ears of corn, halved
- 2 lbs red potatoes, quartered
- 1 onion, cut into chunks
- 6 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Water
Instructions:
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and salt.
- Add onions, garlic, and lemon slices to the pot and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add potatoes to the pot and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add corn and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add crab legs and cook for 8 minutes.
- Next, add clams and mussels and cook for 5 minutes.
- Finally, add shrimp and cook for another 5 minutes or until all seafood is cooked through.
- Drain the seafood boil and transfer to a large serving platter.
- Sprinkle with additional Old Bay seasoning and cayenne pepper, if desired.
- Serve with lemon slices and melted butter for dipping.
