Escargot
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of snails
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/4 cup of minced shallots
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 1/4 cup of chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup of bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Thoroughly wash and clean the snails. Rinse them several times in cold water to remove any grit or dirt.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced shallots and garlic to the melted butter and cook until they become translucent.
- Add the chopped parsley, bread crumbs, and salt and pepper to the butter mixture and stir until well combined.
- Place a snail in each well of an escargot pan or a small oven-proof dish.
- Spoon the butter mixture over each snail, making sure they are completely covered.
- Bake the escargot for 10-12 minutes, or until the butter is bubbling and the snails are cooked through.
- Serve hot with crusty bread for dipping and enjoy your delicious escargot!
