Elk Steak

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Season the elk steaks evenly with the spice mixture and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until desired level of doneness.
  5. While the steaks are cooking, melt 2 tbsp of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and rosemary sprigs, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Once the steaks are done, remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Drizzle the garlic-rosemary butter over the steaks before serving.
