Dutch Baby Pancake
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh berries (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- In a large cast iron or oven-safe skillet, melt the butter in the oven for about 5 minutes.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the eggs, flour, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and pour the batter into the hot melted butter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the pancake is puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and sift the confectioners' sugar over the top of the pancake.
- Serve immediately, topped with fresh berries if desired.
