Dutch Apple Pie

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 ½ cups flour, ½ cup cubed butter, ⅓ cup granulated sugar, and 1 tsp salt.
  2. Mix with a fork or pastry cutter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, mix together sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ½ cup flour.
  5. Pour apple mixture into pie crust and spread evenly.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the top of the apples.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 45-50 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and apples are tender.
  8. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
