Dulce de Leche Brownies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Drizzle the dulce de leche over the brownie batter, trying to cover as much surface as possible.
  8. Sprinkle the milk chocolate chips and chopped pecans over the dulce de leche layer.
  9. Top with the remaining brownie batter, spreading it evenly over the top.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
