Duck Fat Fries
Ingredients:
- 5 medium sized potatoes
- 3 tablespoons duck fat
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, herbs
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C).
- Peel and cut the potatoes into thin slices, about ¼ inch thick.
- Rinse the potato slices in cold water to remove excess starch.
- Place the potato slices on a paper towel and pat them dry.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the potatoes with duck fat and seasonings until evenly coated.
- Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from oven and season with salt and pepper to taste.
