Duck Breast
Ingredients:
- 4 duck breasts
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crisscross pattern and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
- Add duck breasts, skin-side down, and cook for 5 minutes or until the skin is crispy.
- Flip the duck breasts and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together balsamic vinegar, honey, and chicken broth.
- Place the duck breasts in an oven-safe dish and pour the balsamic mixture over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the duck reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
- Let the duck breasts rest for 5 minutes before serving.
