Dried Fruit Compote
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dried apricots
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup dried figs
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 whole clove
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the dried apricots, cranberries, figs, raisins, water, sugar, honey, cinnamon stick, clove, ginger, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, until the dried fruits are plump and tender.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Serve warm or chilled.
