Double Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
