Dill Pickle
Ingredients:
- 4-5 pickling cucumbers
- 2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons pickling spice
- 4 sprigs of fresh dill
Instructions:
- Wash and dry 4-5 pickling cucumbers.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the cucumbers into spears or rounds and place them in a clean jar.
- Add 2 cloves of thinly sliced garlic and 4 sprigs of fresh dill to the jar.
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of white vinegar, 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of kosher salt, and 2 tablespoons of pickling spice. Bring to a boil, stirring until the salt dissolves.
- Pour the hot liquid over the cucumbers, covering them completely.
- Let the jar cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
