Dill Havarti Cheese
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs Havarti cheese, grated
- 3 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon pickling salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix together the grated Havarti cheese, fresh dill, pickling salt, and black pepper.
- Use a cheese cloth to wrap the mixture tightly and form into a wheel shape.
- Place the wrapped cheese in a press or fit it into a mold with a weight on top.
- Let it press for at least 6 hours, or overnight, in the refrigerator.
- Remove the cheese from the press and unwrap the cheese cloth.
- Allow the cheese to air dry at room temperature for 2-3 days, flipping the cheese halfway through the drying process.
- Store the dried cheese in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- Serve and enjoy on crackers or as a delicious addition to grilled cheese sandwiches.
