Detroit-Style Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup diced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup minced onions
- 1/4 cup minced green peppers
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup diced mushrooms
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.
- Spread the pizza dough onto a greased 9x13 inch baking pan, making sure to also grease the sides of the pan.
- Drizzle olive oil over the pizza dough and spread it evenly over the surface.
- In a small bowl, mix together the dried oregano and garlic powder.
- Sprinkle the oregano and garlic mixture over the pizza dough.
- Next, add a layer of pizza sauce over the dough, using a spoon to spread it evenly.
- Evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, making sure to cover all areas.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the minced onions, green peppers, black olives, and mushrooms.
- Spread the vegetable mixture over the layer of cheese.
- Add the diced pepperoni on top of the vegetables.
- Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake the pizza for 20-25 minutes
