Death by Chocolate
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chunks
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chunks
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 cup chocolate sauce, for drizzling (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, and oil until well combined.
- Add in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture, stirring until combined.
- Mix in the chocolate chunks, white chocolate chips, and chopped nuts, reserving some of each for topping later.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8x8 inch baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing into squares.
- Drizzle with chocolate sauce and sprinkle with reserved chocolate chunks
