Dark Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just starts to simmer.
- Remove from heat and add in the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly, until fully combined.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving dishes or a large bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate, if desired. Enjoy!
