Cuban Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf Cuban bread
- 1/2 lb sliced ham
- 1/2 lb sliced pork
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 6-8 pickles, thinly sliced
- 4 tbsp yellow mustard
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 4 tsp olive oil
- 4 tsp butter
Instructions:
- Cut the loaf of Cuban bread in half horizontally.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mustard and mayonnaise to create a spread.
- Spread the mixture on both sides of the bread.
- Layer the ham, pork, and Swiss cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
- Arrange the pickles on top of the cheese.
- Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread.
- In a pan over medium heat, melt 2 tsp of butter and 2 tsp of olive oil.
- Add the sandwich to the pan and press down gently with a spatula.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the pan and let cool for a few minutes.
- Cut the sandwich into desired size and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious Cuban sandwich!
