Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie. Press a few extra chocolate chips into the tops of the cookies, if desired.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
