Chicken Shawarma

  1. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add chicken slices to the marinade and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side, until fully cooked and golden brown.
  4. Warm pita bread in the skillet for a few minutes on each side.
  5. Assemble shawarma by placing chicken, tomato, onion, and parsley on one end of the pita bread. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
  6. Roll up the pita tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious homemade chicken shawarma!
