Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a shallow dish, mix flour, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, beat eggs.
- In a third shallow dish, mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Coat the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, approximately 5 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from skillet and place in a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken breasts, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve with your choice of pasta or vegetables.
