Chicken Jalfrezi

  1. In a large pan, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  3. Add chicken cubes and cook until they turn golden brown.
  4. Add garlic and ginger paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt. Stir well and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and release their juices.
  6. Add chopped red and green bell peppers and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Pour in 1 cup of water and bring it to a simmer. Cover the pan and let it cook for another 5 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
