Chicken Fried Steak

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. In a shallow dish, mix together flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Pound the cube steak to tenderize and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Dip each piece of steak into the flour mixture, coating each side well.
  5. Carefully place the coated steaks into the hot oil and cook until browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove steaks from skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Reduce heat to medium and whisk milk into the remaining oil and flour mixture in the skillet. Continue whisking until mixture thickens and becomes a creamy gravy.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve the chicken fried steaks with the gravy on top. Enjoy!
