California Roll

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions. Once done, mix in 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar and let cool.
  2. Place a sheet of nori seaweed on a sushi mat (or a clean towel).
  3. Spread 1/2 cup of sushi rice evenly on the nori, leaving about 1 inch of space at one end.
  4. Add a layer of thinly sliced cucumber and avocado along the edge of the rice closest to you.
  5. Add 2 ounces of imitation crab on top of the veggies.
  6. Roll the sushi tightly using the sushi mat, using the empty space at the end to seal the roll.
  7. Once rolled, use a knife to slice the roll into 8 pieces.
  8. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 3 more rolls.
  9. Serve the California rolls with a drizzle of Japanese mayonnaise and a side of soy sauce for dipping.
  10. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for an extra crunch and enjoy!
