Butter Chicken
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- Salt, to taste
- Cilantro, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat.
- Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until onions are translucent.
- Add cumin, coriander, paprika, garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in tomato sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Return chicken to the skillet and mix well with the sauce.
- Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes.
- Uncover and stir in heavy cream and butter. Let cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve over rice and garnish with cilantro, if desired.
