  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate larger bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan and placing it
