Boston Cream Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ⅓ cup powdered sugar
- 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate larger bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
