Bolognese Sauce

  1. In a large pot or dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add in the chopped onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add in the chopped carrot and celery and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, and salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. In the meantime, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  7. Once the pasta is cooked, drain and add it to the pot with the bolognese sauce. Toss to coat the pasta in the sauce.
  8. Serve hot, topped with grated parmesan cheese.
