BLT Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 6 slices thick cut bacon
- 8 slices whole wheat bread
- 4 leaves of lettuce
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- To assemble the sandwich, spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place 1-2 leaves of lettuce on top of the mayonnaise, followed by 2-3 slices of tomato and 3 slices of bacon. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, if desired.
- Top with the remaining slice of bread, mayo side down.
- Cut the sandwich in half and serve.
