Blackened Fish
Ingredients:
- 4 fish fillets (tilapia, catfish, or trout)
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the Cajun seasoning, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Place the fish fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the fish fillets, using more or less depending on your preference for spiciness.
- Bake the fish for 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
- For a crispy crust, broil the fish on high for 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking time.
- Serve hot with your choice of sides and enjoy your delicious blackened fish!
