  1. In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the blackening seasoning.
  2. Preheat a cast iron skillet over high heat on the stovetop.
  3. Brush chicken breasts with melted butter on both sides.
  4. Sprinkle the blackening seasoning on both sides of the chicken breasts, using your fingers to rub it in and ensure even coating.
  5. Once the skillet is hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the seasoning has created a blackened crust.
  6. Remove chicken from skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
