Black Bean Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, mash the black beans until mostly smooth.
- Add in the breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, and beaten egg.
- Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Cook the black bean patties for about 4 minutes on each side, until crispy and heated through.
- Serve on a bun with your desired toppings.
