Bakso
Ingredients:
- 500g beef meat, finely minced
- 250g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons tapioca flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon chicken powder
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 egg
- 500ml beef broth
- Noodles of your choice
- Green onions, chopped
- Fried shallots
- Sambal or chili sauce
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, mix together the minced beef, shrimp, onion, garlic, tapioca flour, salt, pepper, chicken powder, soy sauce, and egg.
- Using your hands, mix all the ingredients until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small round balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a pot, bring the beef broth to a boil.
- Drop the meatballs into the boiling broth and let them cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are fully cooked.
- In a separate pot, cook the noodles according to package instructions.
- Once the noodles are cooked, drain and rinse with cold water to prevent them from sticking together.
- To serve, place a serving of noodles in a bowl, top with the cooked meatballs, and pour some beef broth on top.
- Garnish with chopped green onions, fried shallots, and a dollop of sambal or chili sauce.
