Baguette
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of bread flour
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of salt
- 1 tsp of instant yeast
- 1 ½ cups of warm water
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- Add in the warm water and mix until a dough is formed.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal halves.
- Roll each half into a long, thin baguette shape.
- Place the baguettes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Cut diagonal slashes on top of each baguette with a sharp knife.
- Cover the baguettes with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Bake the baguettes for 20 minutes, until golden brown.
